Q. How long does it take for an application to be processed?
A. Permit renewals and applications take approximately 10 working days to process, except over holiday periods when processing delays may occur.
Q. How long till I get my permit after I have renewed it?
A. Once payment is received we endeavor to get permits mailed as quickly as possible.
Q. How can I pay for my Application/ Renewal / Stat Dec?
A. Via Cheque, Money Order, or Credit card details 9242 5544
Q. Can I photocopy my permit?
A. No. Photocopied permits are illegal and you can be fined. The new ACROD permit design has a foil which prevents photocopying of permits.
Q. Is my permit valid interstate?
A. Yes. You can use your permit whilst visiting states across Australia.
Q. Is my permit valid in overseas countries?
A. Inconsistent. Conflicting reports from permit holders have been reported. See Testimonials. APP advises permit holders to contact the place of destination prior to travel to check parking arrangements. ACROD is currently looking at ways to support countries to accept Australian permits.
Q. Can I have two permits?
A. No. To prevent the misuse of permits only one permit is allocated to each permit holder. The permit is designed to be transportable (in a plastic sleeve) allowing the permit holder to use the permit in what ever vehicle they travel.
Q. Why do I have to pay?
A. WA is unique in that the scheme is implemented by a non-Government organization. ACROD Parking Program receives no funding and charges a fee to manage and maintain the program.
Q. Are there concession rates available, I am a pensioner/DVA?
A. No. ACROD Parking Program has maintained the same permit fee for a number of years. This fee covers all aspects including printing, auditing applications by an Occupational Therapist and other administrative costs.
Q. I would like to report a car registration who was misusing an ACROD bay, can I give you this information?
A. ACROD Parking Permits are not registered to a vehicle, allowing the permit holder to travel in various vehicles.
Q. What can ACROD do about people parking in bays without a permit?
A. As the bays come under Shire or Shopping Centre control, ACROD cannot legally enforce fines.
Q. I have lost my permit, what do I do?
A. Please contact ACROD on 9242 5544 to arrange a Statutory Declaration form to replace the lost permit.
