The Australian Partner Portal (APP) provides a flexible delivery model that gives Australian businesses two clear pathways into government procurement. Suppliers can bid individually using the APP’s assurance and governance framework or become part of an APP-coordinated consortium tender response.
When a consortium is formed, the APP assembles the right mix of Australian businesses, leads the bid as the prime contracting entity, and manages compliance, governance, and customer engagement.
If successful, suppliers deliver their work under a subcontracting model. This approach opens access to larger opportunities, reduces administrative burden, and allows suppliers to focus on delivering high-quality outcomes while benefiting from the collective strength of the APP ecosystem.
How It Works
Onboarding (Registration & Vetting)
Suppliers register on the APP, provide capability and compliance information, and complete a structured vetting process to ensure they meet the APP’s governance, assurance, and security requirements.
Accessing Tender Opportunities
Once onboarded, suppliers gain access to a consolidated feed of Defence, Commonwealth, and state tenders available through the APP and its panel access pathways.
Responding to Opportunities
Suppliers can submit an individual response through the APP or nominate to join an APP-coordinated consortium bid aligned with their capability.
Bid Formation, Governance & Submission
For consortium bids, the APP assembles the right mix of Australian businesses, applies its governance, compliance, and quality assurance framework, and leads the submission as the prime contracting entity.
Contract Award & Subcontracting
If successful, the contract is awarded to the APP, which formalises subcontracting arrangements with participating suppliers under a consistent, transparent commercial model.
Delivery of Work Packages
Suppliers deliver their assigned scope while the APP supports contract governance, customer engagement, performance reporting, risk management, and assurance throughout delivery.
